On Email to SMS Gateway and Networks

Through the use of an SMS gateway, anyone can send anywhere and at anytime. An SMS gateway is a process of sending various messages through the use of a computer or a cell phone. The messages are usually based on text format or through some codes. Basically the application or tool that is used in sharing the message connects through a mobile service center through the use of a network. Typically, the email to SMS gateway is the most common form of sharing messages from cell phone to a computer and vice versa. The classification of gateways would depend on the media or tool that is used. For a mobile phone, there is the SMS gateway while for computers there is the use of various sites connected on networks.

Usually, the connection between the email sender and the mobile phone has a third party present. The third party or the operator is the one who would send the message from a computer to a mobile phone and vice versa. Today, server computers are considered as the third party that connects both the email and the mobile phone. Some networks also have the SMS conference feature wherein various cell phones or mobile phones can be connected and a message coming from a computer can be sent to multiple people sms gateway . Through the use of the conference feature, people can chat and talk all they want without being interrupted.

The SMS gateway and email services allow users to be connected anywhere and ay anytime. Most email to SMS gateway servers include international conferencing which is based on connecting with other networks around the world. The message or email is usually sent from one location to the next being redirected by various networks until it reaches its destination. Like a pinball machine, the message would be sent to various server computers and then received by the mobile phone. In cases of server problems, most messages are often delayed that is why most messages are late. In every gateways and networks, there is always a server maintenance involved wherein the company that owns that network would need to fix some glitches on their system. Usually, most networks would have a proxy server for gateway connections so that people can still chat even if their system is offline.

The advantage of SMS services and video conferencing is on connection and price. Since some messages are sent through a number of servers, they are much cheaper than video conferences. Video conferences are based on buffing and one way connection wherein there is no third party connection involved. If the video would be sent through various servers, the video connection would not buffer well. In video conferences, connection is also expensive since people need to use a high speed internet connection in order to chat with other people while in SMS service, a simple message can be sent a number of times without any delays. There are a lot more differences with SMS gateways and video conferencing and it all depends on the person using the phone.
